A servant on the OUTSIDE, a lover on the INSIDE
Tuesday, September 21, 2010
Today, it has been such a long time since I blogged.
But what brought me to this again is a conversation with a dear friend.
We talked about serving, about ministry.
And I was reminded again in this.
Don't be a Martha in PLAIN SERVING but be a Mary in LOVE WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD.
I was once going all out to serve, for a sake to be seem, to be recognised by people.
When I came to a point when serving became a burden, not a burden of the Lord but a burden that burned me out, I threw in the towel, not once, not twice but thrice.
And the last time, I looked into my heart, asking myself, what's wrong with me? And after searching for an answer, I found myself in the situation of Martha when she questioned the Lord in Luke 10:40:
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
But the Lord answered in Luke 10:41:
And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
Sometimes, when we are burned out in serving, one question we got to ask ourselves is... are we worried and troubled about many things?
I tends to have the bad habit of worrying about things and people that I shouldn't be worrying about.
Sometimes, I tends to care too much about the opinion of others to a point where I became insecure.
But... JESUS set me free.
He give me someone who shows me the love of Jesus in a real way, and how I can learn to be a better person who move on not because of position but love.
My leader that God placed above me also taught me so.
Be a servant on the outside by serving the society and the people around you while being a lover on the inside, loving God whole-heartedly and fervently.
Live out the commandments, live out your lives.Labels: Revelation

Temptation VS Self-control
I am tempting...
Tempting by the technology around me...
Tempting by the glamorous world outside...
Full of technology...
But I think through and want to have self-control over my wants and needs.
Now is Building Fund season, God promised that He will add to those who believes.
I want to believe, as my dear and I give, God will prosper us.
I need to weight the cause and look at the future.
Camera, Iphone and all... I got to say bye bye to you first.
Back to self-control...Labels: Revelation

Revelations
Love it when people shared verses with me.
It is like those times when I 1st got saved.
With just a minimum understanding in English, I always tried to understand what Pastor and Cliff preached.
I checked dictionary when I needed to, I asked Cindy to help me with my English, and I strived to improve myself.
And yesterday, as Dear shared verses, I felt it is like those days.
And it reminded me of some words that people spoke to me.
Those were the days when someone once said, if I am so forgetful, I will tend to forget about God's love toward me, I will even forget that I love God.
I always asked God to remind me of His love and never once, has I forget about it but grow in it.
The same goes to here, every single day is a reminded of this love that He give to me.
Now as I am in my room, with worship music flowing out of my laptop speaker, I just feel God's love more and more.
I want to be a vessel of LOVE.
I know I am not perfect, and I have my own self of expectations, but I want to manage it well.
Rejoice always. In Christ Jesus.
I want to leave out the joy that is within me.Labels: Revelation

Enlarging my vision
Saturday, January 9, 2010
Overnight PM with Yilun, and today service once against reminded me of my 1st calling to God.
Really very touched, really very impacted.
1st goal, here I come...
I won't hesistate anymore, thinking that I am too introvert to lead.
I will press in and look up.
I will pray and confess and dream of it until it come to pass.
I will see beyond my current situations...
And I believe, God will do even more than what I see.
Time to put vision into work! =)Labels: Revelation

Revelations for 2010!
Monday, December 28, 2009
2009 hasn't been a very smooth year for me, but to see myself taking my 1st step into my vision was a bittersweet feeling.
And God didn't do it just one but two times for me.
As I stepping into 2010, the voice of God came to me and once again, to start the year with faith.
Can I trust Him even more for a greater breakthrough year for 2010?
I sure want to. =)
God, I believe, 2010 will be a greater year with You.
With more excitements in this walk with You.
With greater dream and vision and a step closer to what You have called me to do.
It will be a fun time once again! =)Labels: Revelation

See beyond looks

While others were complaining about the overcooked and tasteless food packet, I actually managed to finish the whole pack.
Overcooked vegetable, salty egg and dry chicken pieces...
All these sound a bit disgusting.
People don't dare to eat those...
But I actually finished all.
And for 2 weeks, I hasn't been able to eat well, but for the 1st time, I ate well and I enjoyed it.
Never judge a book by its cover.
Truly, this word was proven to be true once again!Labels: Revelation

Mature Vs Babe in Christ
The mature will always walk by the peace of God, while the babe will walk by fear of people.
The mature will rely on God for guidance, while the babe will rely STRONGLY on people for guidance.
The mature will walk in the light, while the babe will try to hide when things don't go the way they want it.
The mature will walk in obedient according to the words of God, while the babe will walk with rebellion in their heart.
We always tried to make ourselves look mature in front of others... The list can go on and on... But maturity come through our actions, the ways we reacted to God and people, the ways we reacted to situations. How well we handle our life will show how mature we really are.
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Even I can't say that I am fully mature in Christ Jesus, but as many as are led by the Spirit of God, we become the son/daughter of God.
I desired to grow into maturity. Let us works toward the call of God!Labels: Revelation
